Fuck Texas

Fuck announcers from Texas, fuck teams from Texas, fuck presidents from Texas.

Fuck rushing 4 and dropping 7, fuck the lack of balanced pass interference calls, fuck roughing the kicker in the 4th quarter, rough the passer in the 1st quarter and take out his kneee. Better yet, let him die.

I can't believe how flat the Cal Defense looked, nor can I believe that Tedford kept throwing to Jordan and Gray when he should have forced it to Makonnen and run Arrington and Lynch down their goddamn throats until well into the 3rd quarter.

Thank goodness Lynch and Jordan are only freshmen and that we have a JC transfer coming in at QB. Maybe we won't go 1-10 next year.

I suppose the only good to come of this night is that for the first time in my memory someone chanted "Overrrated" at Cal fans.

Well said, Dan, well said. Your overrated comment is awesome.

In some way, I'd rather lose the Holiday bowl than one of our regular season conference games. It'd be different if it was the Rose Bowl.

So is Rodgers going in the NFL Draft or what? He seemed flat again, for like the 4th game in a row. I think he should stay and let Tedford make him truly great.

And maybe Jordan can move to the next level as a starter with experience. He's totally hit and miss.

One more 'bright side' - we should come out next year hungry for at least the first 4 games - wanting to prove we're a top 10 team (we're likely to be dropped below 10, right?). And we will really want to beat USC next year.

Why do we have to wait so long for football season to start again?

We played like utter crap. That's plain speaking, and accurate. And I had to share a plan on the way home with joyous Texas fans from the Rose Bowl, AND the in-flight magazine's travel section featured Texas.

Seriously, I think there's a conspiracy.

I know there is a conspiracy.

Rodgers is going pro according to espn.com, and Tedford approves. He has a highly touted redshirt freshman, and the top JC quarterback transfer coming in next season. I really want him to go after about 6 receivers though. Jordan may improve, but our problem wasn't quality as much as it was depth. History has shown that we get a lot of wideouts injured in any given season.

I don't know why we have to wait so long for the season to restart. I say we don't need another pro football league. We need another college season. Maybe we could move IAA to spring and the country would see how cool a playoff system can be.
